Veglio Michelino & Figlio is a small, family-owned & operated vineyard located in the beautiful Piedmont region in northwestern Italy. Veglio Michelino & Figlio produces red and white wines by using traditional techniques with experience passed down from previous generations. From its exclusive Baric to its well-known Barolo, Veglio’s wines carry a reputation of high quality & prestige.

Baric - Red Wine

Production Zone: Serralunga d’Alba

Soil: Medium

Exposure: Southeast

Grape Variety: Nebbiolo & Dolcetto

Vinification: Soft pressing, preserved in stainless steel, and refined in large oak barrels for 1 year.

Characteristics: An exclusive wine of Veglio Michelino & Figlio.  This bottle is the most characteristic of the Veglio family, being made from the best of the Nebbiolo and Dolcetto grapes.  This robust wine is not overly aged as to preserve its fruitiness, and is excellent with meat dishes.  Serve at room temperature, uncorking bottle a few hours before drinking.  


Barolo - DOCG - Red Wine

Production Zone: Serralunga d’Alba – Diano d’Alba (Piemonte – Langhe)

Soil: Medium

Exposure: Southeast

Grape Variety: Nebbiolo

Vinification: Soft pressing, fermentation in stainless steel barrels.

Aging: Ages in 5,000 liter oak barrels for two years; refined in bottles for approximately 6 months. 

Characteristics: Harmonic body, delicate yet intense bouquet of fruits and spices.  To be served at 64° F with dishes of fine red meat and game, and perfect in concluding an exquisite meal.


Barbera d’Alba - DOC - Red Wine

Production Zone: Diano d’Alba - Roddi

Soil: Medium

Exposure: Southwest

Grape Variety: Barbera

Vinification: Soft pressing, preserved in stainless steel barrels, and refined in large oak barrels for 6 months.

Characteristics: Full-bodied; goes well with dishes of meat and cheese.

Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba - DOC - Red Wine

Production Zone: Diano d’Alba

Soil: Limestone - dry

Exposure: Southwest

Grape Variety: Dolcetto

Vinification: Soft pressing, refined in stainless steel barrels.

Characteristics: Dry, harmonic taste, to be served at room temperature with everyday meals. 

Langhe Nebbiolo - DOC - Red Wine

Production Zone: Diano d’Alba

Soil: Limestone - dry

Exposure: West

Grape Variety: Nebbiolo

Vinification: Soft pressing, preserved in stainless steel, and refined in large oak barrels for 1 year.

Characteristics: Fine wine served at 64° F.  Goes well with meat and cheese dishes. 

Moscato d'Asti - DOCG - Sparkling Wine

Production Zone: Langhe

Soil: Medium

Grape Variety: Moscato

Vinification: Soft pressing, fermentation in stainless steel barrels.

Characteristics: Intense aromas reminiscent of freshly picked grapes.  Perfect for concluding a meal or dessert.  To be served between 46-50°F.


Rosso Sinfonia - Red Wine

Production Zone: Diano d’Alba - Serralunga d’Alba – Montelupo Albese

Soil: Medium

Grape Variety: Dolcetto, Barbera, & Nebbiolo

Vinification: Soft pressing, preserved in stainless steel barrels.

Duration: At least 10 years

Characteristics: Table wine, young, fruity, low in alcohol and goes well with everyday meals.
