Processing: Grapes go through a soft pressing and then maceration takes place for 4-5 days at a controlled temperature.
Maturation: Wine is refined in stainless steel tanks and then 4 months in the bottle.
Characteristics: An intense ruby red color. The bouquet is vinous and fruity. A dry, harmonic wine with a light and pleasant sourness.
Serving Suggestions: This wine is suitable for everyday meals and should be served at room temperature.

Barbera d’Alba   DOC - Red

Harvest: Grapes are harvested between the last week of September and first week of October.
Processing: Grapes go through a soft pressing and then maceration takes place for 4-5 days at a controlled temperature.
Maturation: Wine is refined in stainless steel tanks and then 4 months in the bottle.
Characteristics: An intense ruby red color. The bouquet is fruity with floral notes. A dry wine with a light and pleasant sourness.

Re della Notte   Spumante Sparkling White - Extra Dry


Grape Variety: 100% Sauvignon
Production Zone: Serralunga d’Alba - Diano d’Alba - Piedmont
Processing: Grapes are harvested the first and second weeks of September. They then go through a soft pressing, de-stemming and fermentation without the skins for about 10-15 days at a controlled temperature.
Maturation: Wine is refined in stainless steel barrels and then in bottles for 3 months.
Characteristics: Veglio Michelino e Figlio Re della Notte has a straw yellow color and contains a fruity bouquet with floral notes. This wine provides a dry, delicate and elegant taste, and is suitable for everyday meals. Best enjoyed with fish, pizza and aperitifs and should be served between 46-50° F.

Moscato d'Asti   DOCG - Sparkling Sweet White

Grape Variety: 100% Moscato
Production Zone: Langhe - Asti - Piedmont
Harvest: Grapes are harvested between the first and second weeks of September.
Processing: Grapes go through a soft pressing and then fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.
Characteristics: The vines from which this wine is produced are cultivated in the town of Serralunga d’Alba, where the western exposure combined with the characteristics of the land allow the grapes to ripen to an intense bright yellow. The wine paints a picture of the sweet succulent grape bunch from which it is derived. It contains intense aromas reminiscent of freshly picked grapes. Veglio Michelino e Figlio Moscato d’Asti is a sweet white wine that is perfect for concluding a meal or drinking with dessert. Best when served between 46-50° F.

Asti   DOCG - Spumante Sparkling White


Grape Variety: 100% Moscato
Production Zone: Serralunga d’Alba - Diano d’Alba - Piedmont
Harvest: Grapes are harvested between the first and second weeks of September.
Processing: Grapes go through a soft pressing, de-stemming and fermentation at a controlled temperature for 1 month until the alcohol content reaches 7.5% by volume. The wine is then filtered to eliminate the yeasts and then cooled to 32° F to stop any further fermentation.
Characteristics: A straw yellow color with a nose that is fruity containing floral notes. The taste is sweet, delicate and elegant. Veglio's Asti is enjoyed best with desserts. It is also very good as an aperitif and should be served between 46-50° F.

White Wines

Rosso Sinfonia   Red Table Wine


Grape Variety: Dolcetto, Barbera, & Nebbiolo
Production Zone: Diano d’Alba - Serralunga d’Alba – Montelupo Albese
Processing: Softly pressed. Refined in stainless steel tanks for 6 months.
Duration: At least 3 years

Alcohol Level: 11% - 11.5%
Characteristics: Veglio Michelino e Figlio's Rosso Sinfonia has an intense and fruity aroma. It is a dry table wine that is young, fruity and low in alcohol. The lovely blend of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo allows this wine to be enjoyed with every day meals.

Nebbiolo d’Alba   DOC - Red

Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Production Zone: Diano d’Alba - Piedmont
Harvest: Grapes are harvested between the last week of September and first week of October.
Processing: Grapes go through a soft pressing and maceration for 4-5 days at a controlled temperature. The wine then goes through fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Maturation: Wine ages for one year in 5,000 liter oak barrels
Characteristics: Red in color with orange reflections. On the nose it is intense and fruity. This is a dry, fruity wine that is slightly acidic and tannic. It has a well balanced taste. Veglio's Nebbiolo d'Alba is best served at room temperature with red meats, game, rich sauces and aged cheeses.

With a complex nose, showing smoky dark cherry fruit and a mixture of berry fruits, this smooth and full-bodied wine shows the same complexity on the palate. Veglio Michelino e Figlio's Barbera d'Alba has strong alcohol content and is best served with red meats and strong cheeses.

Bacco Sweet Red   Semi-Sweet Red


Grape Variety: 70% Dolcetto & 30% Barbera
Production Zone: Diano d’Alba - Piedmont
Harvest: Grapes are picked manually starting in mid September.
Processing: Grapes are softly pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature until it reaches the appropriate alcohol level. It is then filtered to remove the yeast and stop fermentation.
Characteristics: Veglio Michelino e Figlio's Bacco Sweet Red is a young wine that provides a fruity and intense aroma. It is a semi-sweet wine with a balanced body. Low in alcohol, this wine is suitable for those who want to enjoy a slightly sweet red wine. It can accompany many meals and is excellent as an aperitif. It is best served chilled between 47-50° F or at room temperature

Barbaresco   DOCG - Red

Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Production Zone: Treiso
Processing: Soft pressing and maceration for 4-5 days with temperature control. It is refined in stainless steel tanks for one year. Ages 1 year in 5,000 liter oak barrels and then left to age in the bottle for six months.
Characteristics: Garnet red with orange reflections. The bouquet is intense, fruity and spicy. A dry, full-bodied and balanced taste. Veglio's Barbaresco goes well with rich, full flavored foods including beef dishes, rich sauces and dry, aged cheeses. The wine can be poured into a decanter where it should be left to breathe for one hour before serving. Serve at room temperature.

Red Wines

Barolo   DOCG - Red


Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo

Production Zone: Serralunga d’Alba – Diano d’Alba - Piedmont

Processing: Grapes are harvested by hand and go through a soft pressing. Then fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel barrels.
Maturation: Wine is refined in 5,000 liter oak barrels for at least two years. Then it ages in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months. Total aging period will be at least 3 ½ years.

Aging: Ages in 5,000 liter oak barrels for two years; refined in bottles for approximately 6 months.

Characteristics: Veglio Michelino e Figlio's Barolo has a delicate yet intense bouquet of fruits and spices. A dry wine with a harmonic body. Enjoyed best when served at 64° F with dishes of fine red meat and game. Perfect in concluding an exquisite meal.
