Chianti - DOCG

The Chianti is the most famous Tuscany wine in the world. This wine is produced with Sangiovese grapes by Scopetani, in Chianti Rufina, in the Florence Valley . This DOCG wine is obtained from the fermentation of selected grapes, which are grown and cultivated using techniques consonant with the production of noble quality wines.

Production Process:

The production process of Chianti follows the classic vinification process of red wines. The mature grapes are pressed and then macerated on the grape skins in stainless steel tanks.  After bottling, the wine is stocked in a temperature controlled environment.

Characteristics:

Intense ruby red color with inflexion. The perfume is fruity, vinous, with subtle nuances of viola, violet and black cherry. Its flavor is harmonious with soft tannins.  It has good body and persistence.


Montepulciano D’Abruzzo - DOC

Amongst the wines produced by Mandrelle, this red wine represents the classic expression of the Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, a typical wine from the region Abruzzo. Classified as a DOC wine, this wine is obtained by the accurate selection of the best Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes grown on the “Marrucina” and “Frentana” hillsides.

Production Process:

The harvest takes place in the second half of October. The grapes are pressed and undergo a persistent maceration on the grape skins. The wine is separated from the solid component with a medium pressure, so that it will efficiently extract color.  Maturation is achieved in traditional stainless steel tanks.  After bottling, the wine is stocked in a temperature controlled environment.

Characteristics:

Ruby red color with violet reflections.  Notes of mature fruits distinguish its perfume. Its full-bodied taste is balanced with a persistent aftertaste.

Pinot Grigio - IGT

This white wine, produced by Mandrelle Cellar, is obtained from the Pinot Grigio grapes that have been cultivated on the hills of Lanciano, in the province of Chieti .

Production Process:

The mature grapes are pressed and undergo fermentation at controlled temperatures. Soft method separates the skins from the grape juice. The fermentation process is carefully controlled.  

Characteristics:

Its color is a typical straw yellow.  Has a slightly aromatic and characteristic bouquet.  Elegant notes of white and yellow flowers characterize its perfume. It is delicate and has full taste, while still remaining fresh all around.  It is to be drunk young.
